At present, Mae Sariang Royal Project Development Center has supported local farmers to produce crop production including vegetables, fruits, field crops and coffee under Food Safety Standards: Good Agricultural Practices (GAP). The deep pit swine demonstration farm has also been set up for breeding and soil quality improvement with pig’s manure. Moreover, the center has focused to generate farmers’ sustainable income and improve their livelihood. The supports are also provided for individual and community strengths, young farmer development, Cooperative Saving Group, Clean Village Project and local wisdom preservation such as Lua weaving skill as well as natural resource and environmental conservation, reforestation project known as “Three Forests, Four Benefits”, soil & water conservation by vetiver grass growing, campaigns to reduce chemical use and monitor environmental contamination. The center has become a learning center on highland agriculture for students, farmers and other interested people.
