



History
Pang Kha Royal Project Development Center was set up in 1987 by the Royal Project Foundation aiming at land improvement, soil and water conservation system, land allocation for hill tribes, agricultural supports for farmers, infrastructure quality improvement and particularly watershed forest conservation since the forest in this area is the origin of Yom River.

The center is located in mountainous area with not many plains covering 3,500 rai or 1383 acres.

Population
More than 5,828 Mien and Hmong live in 8 villages and 3 communities.
Operation
At present, the center provides development and supports for local farmers in growing vegetables and fruits under Food Safety System such as Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) in order to generate their sustainable income and improve their livelihood. Furthermore, community engagement in natural resource and environmental conservation, reforestation project called “Three Forests, Four Benefits”, soil and water conservation by vetiver grass growing, chemical use reduction campaign, contamination monitoring campaign, community strength, Clean Village Project, Drug-Free Village Project and Mien handicraft preservation are promoted and supported by the center. The center has become a learning center on highland agriculture for students, farmers and other interested people.
Main Products
Capsicum, butternut squash, Royal Project tomato, red cherry tomato, cabbage, Japanese melon, golden melon, mini pumpkin, Nual-Kham mango, palmer mango, avocado, passion fruit, and grapes.
